Fresh Mozzarella and Basil Pizza


This Pizza is a family fun recipe and to date its been rated at the top of All Thingz Good. 




Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Sliced Roma tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed and finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 store bought dough crust of your choice
  • Fresh sliced mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves 
  • 1/4 cup fresh shredded parmesan cheese
 Directions
Combine 2 Tbls. of olive oil, the thinly sliced tomatoes, chopped garlic, and salt in bowl. Allow this mixture to marinate about 20 minutes to 1 hour. Brush the pizza dough crust lightly with olive oil. Top the dough with sliced mozzarella cheese, then fresh tomatoes. Drizzle with more olive oil. Bake in preheated 500F oven on a pizza stone or a pizza pan for 8−10 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Remove from oven and immediately top with parmesan cheese, then the fresh chopped basil. Cool on a wire rack for 2−3 minutes before cutting into wedges and serve.
